Veneers are wafer thin, customized shells, used to correct a variety of cosmetic issues on the teeth, including deep staining and discoloration. veneers are placed over your natural teeth and can help to cover a variety of imperfections including gaps, stains, chips, and cracks. Veneers can be made of strong resin composites or durable porcelain, and both materials can be tinted and shaped, so they blend in perfectly with the surrounding teeth as a result that is natural.
Veneers are secured to lie flush against the front sections of teeth. A small layer of enamel is shaved off the teeth to make room for the application of the veneer. This helps it to line up evenly with the neighboring teeth without overlapping. Casts will be taken of the teeth and will be installed while the permanent covering is made. During the second veneer appointment, the permanent veneer will be bonded to the tooth using a dental adhesive. The veneer is then buffed and smoothed to provide a comfortable and natural-looking result.
